Job Description

  • Reviewing leveraged loan agreements, intercreditor agreements, security documents, legal opinions and transfer certificates to ensure they reflect agreed terms, are within market norms and reflect the banks risk appetite
  • Advising on leveraged loan transaction structures and security packages
  • Advising on leveraged loan portfolio related issues, such as covenant waivers and loan agreement amendments
  • Advising on leveraged loan restructurings, debt to equity swaps and distressed sales
  • Advising on regulatory issues relating to leveraged loans (e.g. licensing restrictions) or other Treasury assets

  • Advising on other Treasury assets such as asset/mortgage backed securities and corporate/covered bonds

  • Instructing and managing external counsel Collaborating with and seeking input from lawyers in the US and across EMEA, ensuring consistency of approach wherever appropriate given differing legal and regulatory requirements and market practice

The Successful Applicant

  • At least 6 years post qualification experience at a large international law firm and/or financial services organisation and/or regulator
  • Significant European leveraged loans experience
  • Restructuring experience desirable

Some experience of supporting a Treasury function also desirable
