Job Description

Key responsibilities include:

  • Play a significant role in supporting the UK Finance Director in harmonising processes and creating efficiencies across the different UK business units
  • Leading the function through a time of change and helping to create a longer term structure
  • Manage the financial reporting requirements of the UK company's monthly, quarterly and annual accounts, including compliance with all Group and regional reporting deadlines
      • Manage the monthly close and internal reporting processes, including the preparation, consolidation and submission of financial results and commentary;
      • Manage the completion of all actual and forecast reporting requirements of UK companies in a timely and accurate manner;
      • Assist with the preparation of commentary and presentations to be used by the UK FD for operational executive meetings, or as required.
        • Coordinate/ensure accurate, timely and effective completion of annual and quarterly audits related to the UK business and other activities of external and internal auditors.
        • Maintain accounting policies & procedures in line with Group requirements. Ensure Group and local accounting policies are communicated throughout the UK business, as applicable, and are operating effectively at all times. Maintain effective internal controls to ensure compliance with SOx and applicable GAAP and laws, regulations and rules for financial and tax reporting
  • Ensure controls and procedures surrounding all critical processes are adhered to at all times, in particular ensuring SOX 404 requirements are met.
  • Co-ordinate the monthly review and sign-off of all Balance Sheet items in UK Balance Sheets.
  • Liaise with IT and maintain integrity and functionality of the financial systems of the UK companies.

The Successful Applicant


  • Degree educated
  • Qualified Accountant
  • Experience in a financial control role within a U.S. listed/publicly traded company preferred, not essential
  • SOx/US GAAP experience an advantage
