About Our Client

A leading Transport business based in London.

Job Description

Manage flexible working requests, Family Friendly cases, Maternity, Paternity and Shared Parental Leave as appropriate.

Manage any grievance and discipline cases as and when they arise.

Manage Absence as appropriate with the business.

Employee Engagement

Work with the key business areas to determine the best way to keep employees engaged and involved in the Company.

Agree and implement actions with the business.

Payroll and Pension

Ensure that the HR Administrator is provided with all relevant changes on a monthly basis.

Provide support and input for the HR Administrator to ensure the Payroll and Pension processes are completed each month.

Accountable for the final Payroll sign off and Pension upload.

External Providers

Ensure that our relationships with external providers are managed effectively.

Benefits - as at April 2016, through Buck Consultants (Aegon, Generali and AXA). Manage the annual benefits renewal.

Payroll - ADP (as at April 2016)

Recruitment Consultants

Solicitors - Vedder Price (as at April 2016)

HR Planning

Ensure the maintenance of an HR plan that defines what is required to be done, who is accountable and its status.

Ensure that any issues raised with external providers are tracked and resolved.

International Service Employees

Utilising the relevant on line tools, ensure that the IS packages for current or proposed employees are correct.

Ensure that IS employees overseas are managed appropriately.


Investors in People - if signed off by the Board, develop and implement a plan that ensures the Company achieves IIP status.

Develop new Company HR policies as required by business need or legislation.

Ensure the provision of appropriate training and coaching for managers e.g. on Performance Management, Recruitment

Respond to employee, manager and Board enquiries as and when appropriate.

Ensure that any other HR related matters are dealt with as appropriate.

Attend external audits of business areas as appropriate.

Approve financial requests through Focal point.

The Successful Applicant

  • Extensive generlist HR Experience
  • SME experience
  • CIPS Qualified
  • Demonstrable longevity on CV
  • Respectful and considered in approach
  • Well versed on
