About Our Client

It is an exciting yet challenging time to join the organisation who have recently gone through a merger so are going through a period of integration and change. Located within easy commuting distance of both Nottingham and Derby, the largest site has circa 300 with 4 smaller sites in Yorkshire and Lancashire. The HR structure is a matrix model with a European shared service so candidates will ideally have experience of working in an environment with similar scales

Job Description

The UK HR Manager will:

  • Partner the site leadership team
  • Deliver a professional HR service with the assistance of 1 direct report and a shared service
  • Drive change management programs at site level in line with group direction
  • Design innovative solutions to tackle local performance and engagement challenges
  • Coach and mentor the management team to drive leadership capability
  • Be accountable for local talent agenda and succession planning
  • Embody the company values and drive commercial and courageous leadership
  • Have excellent stakeholder relationship building and influencing

The Successful Applicant

The successful candidate will:

  • Be CIPD qualified and have excellent employment law knowledge
  • Be creative and innovate with HR solutions
  • Have the flexibility to travel to the different sites when the business needs so will have a full driving license
  • Have the full generalist compliment of skills across change, ER, Talent, OD, L&D and reward
  • Be able to provide examples of working in a complex matrix environment
  • You will have recently worked in a fast paced and large manufacturing business and will be well equipped to deal with the demands of a changing and highly skilled work force.
