My client has been a trusted partner to the automotive industry for over 15 years supplying direct into the car manufacturers and a number of tier 1 suppliers.

They work with their customers to engineer solutions to complex manufacturing issues and implement process that reduces the total lifetime cost of the pat, making them viable alternative to low cost sourcing.

Job Description

UK Sales Manager Job Duties:

  • Develop, build and manage sales growth by developing new customers and markets.
  • Set personal & sales targets.
  • Sales development from existing customers will be allocated via the key account managers list.
  • Prepare action plans and schedules for specific sales campaigns and project the number of contacts to be made.
  • Recommend strategies for sales growth.
  • Prospect new clients via sales calls,door-to-door selling, networking events, seminars, trade shows.
  • Prepare presentations, and associated sales literature.
  • Follow up on sales prospects & quotations generated management teams.
  • Prepare paperwork to activate quotation & sample batch generation.
  • Work with the Technical department to develop and bring to the market new finishes.
  • Work with the Engineering department to develop and bring to the market new application methods.
  • Continually develop your product knowledge
  • Analyse & action sales trends per section via a weekly chart.
  • Analyse activity (visits, trade shows, net working events, phone canvasing etc) via a weekly BOS chart.
  • Analyse quotation trends via a weekly BOS chart (quantity, time taken to quote, value, finish, followed-up, won, reason for not winning etc).
  • Generate monthly sales growth forecasts.
  • Communicate through CVR's any important customer or market place information gathered through field activity.
  • Investigate and troubleshoot customer concerns, such as product quality, discrepancies and debits etc. utilising the site management team.

  • Strong sales and account management experience
  • Experience of selling into automotive tier 1's and OEM (ideally interiors)
  • Exposure Injection moulding and assemblies
