Job Description

Principal Accountabilities

  • Deliver design concepts for npower.com content activity including but not limited to websites, emails, banners, mobile devices, social media sites
  • Delivery of user experience and visual designs in response to BAU work requests to agreed SLA's
  • Delivery of tools and templates to support the Operational Development team with efficient delivery of BAU
  • Delivery of wireframes and creative assets as part of the design approach
  • Identification of opportunities to improve online experience and deliver a competitive edge

Key Performance Indicators

  • High quality journeys and content which comply with accessibility standards
  • Delivery of design concepts on time in response to BAU and project SLA's
  • Delivery of digital content which aligns to the Digital Brand Guidelines and associated pattern library
  • Adherence of content to tone of voice and on site SEO standards
  • Ensuring that all content works across major mobile devices and browsers

Problem Solving/Complexity

  • Translation of business requirements into high quality web design content - Medium complexity
  • Developing design concepts to drive enhanced onsite experience - High complexity
  • Work on individual briefs at any one time, managing own time, and resources appropriately to ensure delivery of current workload- Medium complexity
  • For more complex projects design appropriate creative solutions. Present these solutions to team managers and colleagues for feedback and approval - Medium complexity.

The Successful Applicant

  • 3 years experience with working with Adobe Photoshop CS3+ and Illustrator in an commercial eCommerce environment
  • Experience working with Adobe Flash mx/CS2 + preferred
  • Good knowledge of customer journey development and usability best practice
  • Ability to multitask and work well under pressure in a fast paced team and able to adapt to change. Must also be able to prioritise competing deadlines
  • Good communication skills in email, copywriting, presentation, and verbal
  • An extensive knowledge of online customer experience and user centred design practices
    • Good project management-ability to manage and deliver several campaigns at the same time
