About Our Client

My client is a pureplay online retail business, specialising exclusively on direct to consumer sales. The are looking to recruit a Web Design position to strengthen their team further.

Job Description

The Wed Designer will join a growing team, reporting into our Marketing Communications Manager. You will support our Marketing Communications Manager in the day-to-day construction development and deployment of effective marketing collateral in a wide variety of digital formats and some traditional print media.

  • Working with the brand team to devise creative and innovative campaigns in line with the overall digital marketing efforts and develop the brand and its core values.
  • You will be responsible for the development and maintenance of all creative assets including photography, videos, info graphics, banners, advertising creative, posters and social media content
  • Understand audience segmentation and targeting - using insight on the customers to target prospects with the right visual messages for the brand to maximise conversion in all channels and support them during the buying process.

The Successful Applicant

The ideal candidate for this role will possess the following skills/expertise:

  • At least 2 years of Web design / or online marketing experience, in a customer facing role, where you have regularly interacted via a commercial website and know how to do so professionally and courteously.
  • Experience in delivering web campaign graphics to engage customers and ultimately lead to increased conversions.
  • Illustrate effective commercial techniques and how you adapted them to target and meet the needs of the different groups identified to maximize brand engagement and response to campaigns.
  • You should have experience of creating, implementing, and developing marketing campaigns, and be familiar with content management systems.
  • Strong time management, organisation and problem solving skills, being able to handle multiple jobs/tasks, ensuring best quality work.
  • Good HTML5/CSS skills, with knowledge of designing for web. Awareness of using JavaScript; jQuery; Dreamweaver would be useful.
  • Excellent knowledge of Adobe InDesign, Illustrator and Photoshop specifically. Any knowledge of additional packages like Fireworks; Flash would be useful.
