About Our Client

The client is a fashion retailer who are looking for an Import Merchandiser/Wholesale Merchandiser to support the team.

Job Description

As a Wholesale Merchandiser you will be responsible for the following:

  • Develop detailed budgets by Brand and Customer to cover sales, customer discount, agents' commissions, margin and intake
  • Re-forecast sales, margin and intake on a weekly basis, communicating any changes to Senior Management
  • Prepare detailed phasing plans to manage lines in/out of the business
  • Monitoring intake/stock/sales ensuring deliveries are on time and to spec by means of reviewing the critical path/buying minutes/WSSI
  • Effectively managing OTB via WSSI
  • Liaise with the accounts dept. regarding supplier payments and managing invoice approvals
  • Analysis by Brand and season to look at seasonal trends and requirements
  • Working with the Buying and Sales teams to ensure range plans are built and that our pricing architecture sits with our competitors' and also allows us to achieve budgeted margin
  • Forward forecast sales by line in order to maintain correct stock levels on cloth, trims and final garments
  • Ad hoc reporting and problem solving as required
  • Booking cloth and raising purchase orders when required
  • Communicate all information effectively to all levels of the BMB management team
  • Recruit staff as necessary and develop training programmes to educate staff to correct levels of competency
  • Building, developing and maintaining relationships with customers and suppliers
  • Manage accurate size scaling of product based on analysis and trends
  • Manage critical path process working with Sourcing and Buying to ensure on time delivery

The Successful Applicant

The ideal Merchandiser will have the following skills:

  • Experience within a similar wholesale merchandising role is essential
  • Worked to/within financial KPI'S within previous role is advantageous
  • You will be a confident and effective communicator who is able to build strong working relationships internally and externally
  • Excellent systems skills, in particular Microsoft Excel are essential. If you are ready for a new challenge, then this could be the role for you
