Our Engineering Client based in Inverness is a Market Leader in their sector.

Job Description

Our Client based is looking to recruit a Wind Field Technician with the following skillset:-

  • Ability to work independently performing fault analyses and repair of wind turbine generator systems, including clarification of any client queries
  • Planned and preventive maintenance of wind turbine generator systems
  • Documentation of call-out responses, fault finding and repair work in service reports, logbooks and
  • checklists
  • Coordination of external and internal service providers and contractors on site
  • Contact person for client technical queries, such as retrofits and repairs

The Successful Applicant

The Ideal Wind Field Technician based in Inverness will have the following:-

  • Professional training in electrical engineering sector (electrician, power electronics system,mechatronic engineer, electromechanical)
  • Familiar with MS-Office operating system
  • Familiar with PLCs
  • High degree of quality awareness; excellent fault finding and diagnostic skills combined with the, ability to detect and remedy faults, defects, problems. Structured approach to problem solving
  • Team player, cooperative, interested in further development
  • Able to work at heights and with a high level of physical fitness
  • High degree of flexibility with the ability to work under pressure
  • Willing to work some weekends as part of an on call rota
  • Full driving licence

What's on Offer

Salary - Hourly rate of £13 per hour based on an 8 hour day.

Overtime kicks in after 8 hours and is available

1 year Fixed Term Contract in first instance then possible extension
