Project Manager -Balance Sheet Substantiation Project

Role/Background:

The candidate will join a team of 21 who are responsible for all daily and monthly financial control processes, as well as providing key business information to Front Office, the Steering Committee, external regulators and theboard.

This products managed by the business are:

Structured CDOs
Structured CLOs
Correlation trades (Tranched ABS)
Negative Basis trades (ABS, CDS, Loans, TRS, CLNs)
Intermediation trades
Revolvers (inc Multi-ccy)
Monoline hedges

The SCP Balance Sheet Remediation project requires full substantiation of the balance sheet.

Responsibilities:

The candidate will have the following key responsibilities:

· Unsupervised management of the Balance Sheet Remediation project Initiatives, ensuring all levels of status update and reporting are adhered to.

· Liaising with management, current users and other areas to determine project requirements.

· Production of business requirements and functional specifications.

· Issue identification, tracking and resolution.

· Risk reporting relation to the Balance Sheet remediation project

· Contribute to the development of a robust balance sheet substantiation process

· To assist with the full month end balance sheet substantiation of every account line. Investigation and resolution of breaks on Central accounts.

· Project work covering controls enhancement, efficiency initiatives and strategic developments in order to provide business advantage

· Establish collegiate working relationships, at all levels, with both the business and support areas (i.e. Front Office, Group Risk, Regulatory Capital etc) in order to provide an integrated and proactive approach to business development and facilitation.

Who we're looking for
Essential Experience: (Must have skills)

· Strong accounting skills with demonstrable experience gained within the Financial Services area.

· Project management experience<BR>
· Previous experience on balance sheet substantiation.

· Professional accountancy qualification.

· Good appreciation of Investment Banking.

· Experience of working in a control environment.

Preferred Experience<BR>
· Good understanding of Fixed Income and Credit Derivative products.

· Good working knowledge of International al Accounting Standards.
