Trading Credit Risk Business Analayst

1. Role Summary

The Business Analyst will be responsible for assisting and supporting the timely delivery of elements associated with the Trading Credit Risk Management target operating model implementation phase for a Global Investment Bank.

The Business Analyst will assist the Project Manager for delivery and co-ordination of a work stream involving the management of significant business process re-engineering (via organisation re-design), and reporting on progress to the central programme delivery team.

The Business Analyst will serve as a resource to scope, define, and analyse business requirements. The Business Analyst will interact with Business Users, Credit Officers, trading product specialists and the Programme team to ensure that business and programme objectives are met. The Business Analyst will be part of the Project Team, and will be a key contributor to achieving project objective and deliverables.

Specific responsibilities include:

Working with the Project Manager to document objectives and scope, plan analysis work and highlight risks and issues
Working with the Workstream Leads to produce deliverables and manage project dependencies, including project and process documentation
Demonstrating a thorough understanding of the business processes and operations in Credit Risk
Developing and maintaining project documentation, including project plans and process documents
Compiling functional systems specifications based on business user needs
Obtaining and understanding solution requirements from a technology, people, training, organisational and process perspective
Building and maintaining good relationships with business stakeholders and the Programme team, and work with stakeholders to understand requirements
Communicating requirements to the Programme team and all relevant stakeholders to affect change
Identifying, documenting and managing risks and issues through the use of risk logs and risk reporting tools
Participating in other project team activities such as project status meetings and workshops
Provide ongoing support to the Programme team

Who we're looking for
Business analysis skills

Trading Credit Risk Management subject matter expertise
experience of working on operating model or process change initiatives in a fast-paced and challenging environment
Minimum Lean Six Sigma qualification at Green( Black Belt level highly advantageous )
Experience of multi-faceted change programmes including elements of organisational design, learning and development, training
Strong verbal and written communication skills
Strong learning agility, with the ability to learn concepts in short periods of time
Strong analytical and process design skills
Ability to translate business needs into technology specifications
Ability to drive the work of self and others to completion, across a range of people, process and technology workstreams

Project Life Cycle Skills

· Experience of taking ownership for delivery of a project or workstream

· Experience of a structured approach to communication on a project.
