Due to the increased focus on corporate governance, risk and assurance in the economy generally, our client is responding by proactively recruiting in their Internal Audit team. The role will involve interfacing with major FTSE listed businesses, providing them with all manner of services including governance, risk management, internal audit and internal controls.

Reporting directly to the Partner, responsibilities may include:
* Managing the day-to-day relationship with key clients, ensuring a responsive service to their needs
* Financial management of contracts, ensuring that overruns are covered
* Applying understanding of current and emerging legal, regulatory, governance, auditing, accounting and financial reporting standards to assess the impact on clients
* Coaching and mentoring staff; acting as a role model for those less experienced

Who we're looking for
The successful candidate will have either an accounting (ACA/ ACCA / CIMA) or internal audit (MIIA / PIIA) or risk management (IRM) qualification. Anyone who has moved from practice to industry and is now looking to step back would be looked upon very favourably.
