Focusing on the Business Development function for this growing firms Markets division, key responsibilities include: • Developing Industry business development plans • Working with teams and industry leaders to plan and drive focused and effective targeting of new business. • Provide business development advice on all opportunities and make sure that the "right things" are being done • Providing proposal support to engagement teams • Monitoring our success on opportunities and understand & learn from our wins & losses • Communicating business development initiatives both within the group and to the wider firm • Working closely with Marketing, PR, Knowledge Management of the wider business development team to ensure Industry thought leadership is effectively leveraged by the key account teams on a one firm basis
Who we're looking for
• Background business development/sales/client relationship management in a professional services or similar blue chip organisation. • Have proven Industry business development and/or FTSE200 business development experience. • Have substantial knowledge on proposals/pursuits • Have strong influencing, communication and facilitation skills in order to be credible • Be proactive with a can-do approach • Be an effective team player with proven expertise in managing and driving projects • Understand the impact of his/her personal style on an audience and is able to flex where appropriate • Demonstrate excellent listening skills • Lead by example - showing a commitment to quality and integrity and a desire to motivate others • Be able to manage and influence stakeholder expectations • Demonstrate an understanding and interest in the key business drivers and issues from the client's perspective • Be self-motivated, demonstrate determination and persistence
