Huntsman Polyurethanes are seeking to appoint a Lead Instrument & Electrical Engineer for their Wilton, Teesside operation. This role will act as a functional lead within the I&E function, reporting to the Engineering Manager. The portfolio of work carried out by the I&E Engineers in support of operations is diverse and challenging including:

• Equipment integrity and reliability management.
• Instrument, Control and Electrical systems technical support and codal compliance management.
• Capital project design, installation and commissioning.
• Major overhauls support.

As a Lead Instrument & Electrical Engineer you will be the site Responsible I&E Engineer, playing a lead role in the definition of maintenance routes of all electrical, control and instrumentation equipment within the production area. You will also provide guidance on technical issues to SRM/CAPEX project teams, and act as a Design Authority within projects. You will be charged with defining and implementing and E,C&I engineering improvement plan that ensures the plant is maintained through the deployment of world class standards.There will also be a strong need to develop links internally within the business both locally and Europe wide to share knowledge and best practice.

Who we're looking for
You will need to be degree educated in Instrumentation and Control Engineering (Ideally 2:1 and above) or a related discipline. Your degree should be accredited by the IET or InstMC and meeting the requirements for a chartership application.

You should be a chartered engineer, or working towards chartership and hold significant petrochemical top tier COMAH exposure. You will be comfortable with management of change and familiar at working within SIF, SIL and ATEX guidelines. You will be an analytical thinker capable of breaking down problems logically, whilst at the same time able to communicate clearly and openly to build and lead close-knit teams. Importantly you should also be capable of sharing knowledge and developing others, both through mentoring and leadership within the business.
