The role will be working for our clients intellectual property department in their Beijing office. The successful candidate will work with some of the worlds top brands and trademarks assisting them on manyIP portfolio management issues. These willinclude:
* Enforcement and exploitation of intellectual property rights * Protection and Acquisition * Franchising and licensing matters and related regulatory issues.
The successful candidate will advise on the following as well as many more topics:
* Trade practices and unfair competition law * Brand protection issues * Trademarks, design andpatent registering * Anti-counterfeiting programs * Regional and globalIP portfolio management * Commercial and corporate transactions * Technical issues
Who we're looking for
Our client isseeking an experienced lawyer with 7-8+years PQE. The successful candidate will haveambition, dedication and clear talent to enable them to thrive inthis unique global firm.
The experience gained by the successful candidate will be withinIP - specialising in trademark registration, enforcement as well as copyright issues in the Hi Tech sector. (If candidates have less experience they will be considered as Associates)
The successful candidate will need to have fluent written and spoken English and Chinese (Mandarin). Candidates should have a strong academic background and knowledge in electrical/computer engineering would be advantageous.
