To provide the overall leadership of their team, involved in delivering an excellent overall service to their clients. You must drive the project team members to deliver high quality projects on programme with a focus at all times on the commercial returns. Will champion the 'Business Process' to ensure that all staff achieve compliance therefore ensuring business risk is managed during the end to end process. Must set the standards to drive the H&S culture throughout all parties engaged in projects delivery. Will provide support to their individual team members whilst managing resource demands across all client programmes. Will be the direct representative for individual client accounts for the day to day operational issues and will pursue further business opportunities with their client's to grow their business unit.
• People Responsibilities
Manage direct reports to achieve business targets and to ensure productivity levels are met, highlighting individual needs and training and development is undertaken. Performance manage and interpret relevant commercial data while reporting directly to the Project Director.
• Customer Responsibilities
Understand the departments customers needs and in turn the customer service targets to enable teams to achieve these. Identify future opportunities and work closely with account management and business development teams to ensure best service to the clients. Support new tender opportunities.
• Business Plan Responsibilities
Understand and deliver business plans and goals in an efficient and resourceful manner.
• Financial Control Responsibilities
Deliver against annual departmental budget forecast, ensure budget parameters are adhered to and report budget overruns accordingly.
• Process Responsibilities
Make sure business process is compliant across their teams. Produce, update and monitor programme to feed into overall master program.
• Commercial Responsibilities
Review all customer and project service reports with Project Managers prior to meetings. Be able to understand and interpret different levels of customer service, positive and negative. Support tender returns both commercially and operationally.
• Quality Responsibilities
Ensure controls are in place to monitor, report and improve performance and quality.
Who we're looking for
You will have the following competencies:
• Contracting experience with large retail multiples or corporate office fit-outs
• Detailed knowledge of Health & Safety legislation
• QA Systems and Business Process Implementation and auditing
• Presentation skills
• Commercial & Contractual Management
• PSR Process and Monitoring of costs
• Ability to run and facilitate productive meetings
• Planning Management/Master Programme Production
• Leadership and people management skills
• Good communication skills
• Motivation skills
• Detailed knowledge of Health & Safety legislation and must hold 5 Day Managers CITB and CSCS
• Ability to work on own initiative and problem solve
• Understand the Client requirements and how as a business we can deliver a better service than our competitors.
• Ability to carry out annual staff performance reviews along with the ongoing support in order that these can be achieved and reviewed as required throughout the year.
• Ability to comply with the recruitment process and management of new start employees including induction's, monitoring and feedback of performance and compliance with the HR procedures.
• Ability to mentor and support new starts as required.
