Actuarial Analyst

General Insurance

Provide the PI Board, Executive Directors, Pricing Function and other stakeholders as required with accurate, impartial actuarial and statistical analysis and advice in relation to:

• Technical Reserves
• Capital Modelling
• Risk Pricing and Price Optimisation.

Who we're looking for
• Carry out or contribute to regular reviews of technical reserves and communicate results to the Technical Reserve committee.
• Carry out or contribute to regular reviews of risk premiums and recommend changes to rating structures to ensure risk premiums used in pricing represent best available forecasts of expected claims costs.
• Ensure that actuarial and/or statistical work is carried out to high standards of professionalism, complies with relevant actuarial standards and where appropriate regulatory requirements.
• Research and identify new data sources and ensure that PI Data Warehouse systems support analysis of risk relevant data.
• Analyse, recommend and communicate important findings to a range of audiences, from peers to the Directors.
• Challenge previously held ideas to maximise profit for Provident Insurance
• Supervise and peer review work performed by junior members of the team and contribute to their development through coaching and mentoring.
• Lead certain projects taking complete ownership for driving the project to its conclusion.
• Investigate ideas to determine if they give us a competitive advantage
