The role holder will complete work for clients including;
• Client management for small and large clients, taking responsibility for allocation and completion of work, and meeting deadlines.
• Checking complex member benefits calculations.
• Checking actuarial valuation calculations, and undertaking analysis of surplus
• Proposing valuation assumptions and discussing with Scheme Actuary and/or client
• Reviewing draft actuarial reports.
• Peer reviewing significant pieces of advice in accordance with professional requirements
• General consultancy, dealing with clients' telephone queries and day to day correspondence providing technical advice where needed.
• Hosting client meetings where applicable
• Miscellaneous complex actuarial calculations.
• Prepare management reports as required.
• Accurate and timely completion at Taskstream and preparing invoices for clients
• Complying with Continuous Professional Development requirements and attending external seminars and talks
• Preparing cashflow information for investment strategy advice
• Checking work of others and helping more recent new graduates/colleagues
• Understanding and complying with professional guidance, such as conflicts of interest and guidance notes
• Researching new topics on behalf of the firm
• Hosting, or taking an active role, in team meetings
• Assists with new business pitches
