As a VAT Specialist you will be required to interpret and keep up to date with VAT law, regulations and notices and provide training and advice to colleagues and clients on a range of UK and European VAT areas.

• Key responsibilities and accountabilities:

• Remain technically up to date in their own field and develop sufficient knowledge of other core business areas to identify needs and direct work assigned by clients.
• Interpret and keep up to date with VAT law, regulations and notices and provide training and advice tocolleagues and clients on a range of UK and European VAT areas.
• Review VAT returns and offer specialist support and advice to our accountancy teams and tax colleagues on all issues relating to VAT compliance.
• Regular contact with clients and will deal with a variety of issues including:

i. Cross Border Transactions - Place of Supply.
ii. Electronically supplied services.
iii. Liaising with Revenue & Customs on VAT enquiries.
iv. Managingclient's International VAT / GST return filings.
v. 8th/13th Directive refund claims.

Who we're looking for
Experience in and/or with an International Operation, preferably a USA technology Company
Very familiar with start up situations across either/both EMEA or APAC and had practical experience of tax planning, HR, ICA etc.
