VP Liquidity Manager

Treasury at this Bank is a corporate function whose 'customers' are the businesses of the bank, i.e. Global Markets, Global Banking, Private Banking, Private /Asset Wealth Management.

Treasury manages the capital, funding, liquidity and transfer pricing of the Bank group of companies.

Treasury operates a 'hub and spokes' model, with staff concentrated mainly in the major hubs of Frankfurt, London, New York and Singapore, but with a small presence also in Tokyo, Sydney, Brazil and Shanghai.

The main focus will be to support the global effort to develop and implement liquidity risk framework.

This will include understanding of collateral requirements and impacts, secured funding and unencumbered trading positions. The success of this effort will be dependent upon the incumbent's ability to develop working relationships with, and an understanding of, the businesses that trade or manage the institution's equity and fixed income collateral.

Who we're looking for
Key Responsibilities

The successful candidate will be responsible for the development and implementation of liquidity concepts dealing with the banks global secured funding activities and unencumbered trading positions.

The positions require experienced and confident individuals with management potential and leadership. The incumbents will be expected to have a detailed understanding of industry practices and ideally have previous hands-on experience in an experienced group of professionals managing:

- (contingent) liquidity risks in the repo, sec lending, and/or prime brokerage businesses. Such experience would logically be obtained in the broker dealer community.

This role will involve liaising with front office business and other risk management areas. The role does not have a specific daily reporting output rather it involves constant exploration of liquidity risk management issues within the business functions allocated and leading projects to bring together funding and pricing solutions.

The positions will also require the successful applicants to be able to work independently without micro-management and deliver results in a timely manner.

• Experience in a treasury department or a business unit of an investment bank.
• Strong communication and coordination skills.
• Strong analytical and problem solving skills.
• A demonstrated ability to work independ
