This is a fantastic opportunity for a career minded senior B2B marketer to play a key role in the development of a marketing function within a successful international manufacturing business. The responsibilities of the Senior Product Manager will include, but not be restricted to:
1. Identify opportunities in the designated market sectors and develop structured and deliverable plans to achieve the objective. Lead the team of Marketing / Applications Engineers in the development of their plans and support them in the delivery of them. These plans will often require activity across departmental and geographic boundaries and therefore leadership and influencing skills will be required to effectively deliver them.

2. Manage the team of Marketing / Applications Engineers to provide technical / commercial support to the local sales teams in their area. Ensure that the applications experience gained in a geographic area is distributed across the applications functions in Europe.

3. Product Management. Act as a specialist for a specific product group and manage all aspects of this range of products making recommendations for modifications to or developments to the product portfolio to maintain quality / competitiveness in the market

4. Provide professional line management for a team of Marketing / Applications Engineers and non line management input to other departments across the business.

Marketing - to include:

1. Manage the translation (where appropriate) and technical assistance in the design and development of promotional and technical media.

2. Provide support for the internal customers on the preparation of presentations, customer visits etc.

3. Manage the provision of application stories and case histories for the designated market for which the employee is responsible

4. Formulation of a strategic marketing communications strategy plan across Europe / Africa for products and applications information to sales and marketing colleagues.

Who we're looking for
To apply for this Senior Product Manager position, candidates must be able to demonstrate a strong track record within an industrial manufacturing sector in a marketing position. You will have experience of coaching, mentorship and leadership within a marketing function and be comfortable dealing with technicians and engineers on complex subject matter.

Our client is an international manufacturing business. This position will be based at their site in the Merseyside area of north west England.
