Reporting to the Engineering Manager you will provide technical engineering input for all electrical and controls driven equipment. You will be accountable for the development of software in order to maximise overall system performance and plant operation. As part of a dynamic team, you will be expected to learn and share your experiences. You need to be able to respond to working demands, including call out and working out of core hours as the job requires. We value people with initiative and forward thinking.
Who we're looking for
The ideal candidate will have a well-organised, methodical work attitude, paired with a hands-on approach to fault finding and trouble shooting, proven decision-making skills and a strong desire to succeed. You should have some practical experience, preferably in a 24/7 production environment. You need to also have a good understanding of health and safety requirements in a production environment, be able to deal with outside contractors. Technically you will be ideally degree educated in Electrical Engineering with a background of Instrumentation or Controls. You will be able to programme as well as fault find on - Siemens S7, Allen Bradley ControlLogix & iFix Scada Control systems.
