As the Motor Manager, you will be ultimately responsible for making pricing recommendations to maximise profitability controlling all aspects of the daily underwriting profile of the Company. You will be an important part of the senior management team, providing a technical knowledge and understanding that drives the business forwards and ultimately creates a platform for client satisfied profitable underwriting. Key accountabilities include:

• Develop and manage an innovative approach to pricing utilising latest developments in motor pricing technology.
• Ensure appropriate use of statistical techniques to produce key factor models.
• Implement strategy providing effective management of a multi site pricing team.
• Provide excellent leadership to all direct and indirect reports and ensure excellent communication with all internal business areas.
• Monitor, analyse and increase performance of the functions you manage.
• Assist with the preparation of timely budgets and re-forecasts for your business units.

Who we're looking for
The successful candidate will have excellent knowledge of motor insurance products and enthusiasm for the motor insurance industry. You will possess excellent data and statistical analysis skills and enjoy a logical thought process with exceptional reasoning ability. You will have previously held a statistical role within the personal lines insurance industry, ideally within motor insurance. You will be an excellent manager of both teams of people and budgets and have a working knowledge of the SAS and preferably EMBLEM systems. As a comfortable communicator, you will have the ability and experience to influence at a senior level. Further to this, you will be well versed in driving performance through the management of both people, and pricing process.
