Key Responsibilities:
The position entails a unique combination of line of business as well as regional communications support. The individual will be responsible for promoting via the mediaratings, research and analysts to the Spanish capital market as well as several other select EMEA capital markets across alllines of business (sovereign, banking, corporate finance, etc.). Additionally, the individual will support the rating agency's EMEA Insurance team (an insurance background is a plus but not required) as well as the rating agency's sister company.
This involves employing strategies and tactics designed to achieve maximum positive media coverage and to minimize negative or inaccurate media coverage. The role involves assisting in message formulation -- recommending ideas for research that would be relevant to the market; identifying ways to improve the quality and timeliness of such research; and working closely with subject matter experts to identify, prioritize, and clarify key points in a manner accessible to the broader public. Key responsibilities also include developing and maintaining effective business relationships with strategic contacts in the print, web-based, and broadcast media; effectively preparingthe company's experts for media interviews; and monitoring, analyzing, and reporting on resulting coverage.

Who we're looking for
The Experience<BR>•public relations / communications experience, ideally within the financial services sector. Familiarity with the credit markets a plus • Demonstrated track record of building and maintaining media relationships • Demonstrated ability to formulate and execute near-term and long-range communications strategies is essential • Track record in media promotion of multiple brands of financial research • Excellent communication skills - verbal, written and listening andgood project management/planning capabilities. • Strong organisational skills/time management andstrong team-working ethic as well as the ability tomedia train spokespeople.
Additional Information/Qualifications
• Undergraduate degree in journalism, communications, marketing, business, or related discipline is required. Master's degree a plus. ESSENTIAL
• English & Spanish fluency/proficiency ESSENTIAL
• Additional European language fluency/proficiency DESIRABLE
• Strong relationships with national Spanish media, particularly the financial media DESIRABLE
