Senior Sales Commercial Finance Manager

Working in Uxbridge you will be reporting into the Sales Director and operating as part of the senior management team.
Position Summary:
This individual will act as a Business Partner providing financial and commercial support to the regional sales teams. Managing a team of 4 this role will provide revenue recognition, pricing and commercial support. This is a senior level position and the function acts as the analytical engine for the region to provide insights and support 'optimal' business decision making. The position reports to the Director, Sales Operations.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
• Finance lead for all revenue reporting, control analysis and forecasting
• Actively participate in pricing, revenue-related contract negotiation and contract review with Legal, Regional Finance team members and Sales Teams
• Obtain sign-off on customer bids and contracts from senior management team
• Modelling new opportunities or initiatives proposed by the business to determine whether an appropriate ROI will be generated
• Provide revenue recognition guidance to cross-functional groups throughout the region
• Review and understand all pertinent and current accounting literature related to revenue recognition and ensure compliance with them
• Key interface between Corporate Revenue Recognition group presenting the regions position on the recognition treatment on deals over $500k and writing revenue recognition discussion papers as required
• Participate in the implementation of process improvements in revenue accounting and reporting-related areas
• Perform special projects as required

Who we're looking for
• Qualified accountant (CIMA, ACA, ACCA, CPA)
• Extensive experience in revenue recognition field and be able to apply revenue rules to real-life situations
• Must have strong experience with hardware revenue recognition and multiple-elements arrangement
• Good knowledge of software revenue recognition and lease accounting is a plus
• Strong interpersonal skills and communication skills to interact with all levels of an organization
• Highest standards of accuracy and precision; highly organized
• Ability to think creatively, highly-driven and self-motivated
• Ability to work independently and within a team environment
• Strong organizational and multitasking capabilities
