In this role, reporting to the Head of Sales, the Business Development Manager will be responsible for winning new business as well as up-selling, cross-selling and retaining an existing client base.
In this newly created role, the key responsibilities will include:
• Owning the entire new business sales process from lead generation through to closing business
• Pro-actively developing sales opportunities, primarily through named accounts within both Financial Services and Corporate
• Managing all existing accounts to the highest professional standards
• Developing white label / re-seller arrangements with key banking partners
• Developing and implementing account contact/development plans for target accounts
• Contributing to local sales and marketing strategy within target markets/accounts
• Providing accurate sales forecasts, activity and account development plans to line manager
• Maintaining customer contact and activity reports using Salesforce.com
• Working effectively with available consultative resources to support business objectives
• Managing existing product streams and creating/developing new product streams
This organisation is the leading player in a niche but high growth market. The recent acquisition of this business by a successful NASDAQ listed technology company has resulted in an even greater market opportunity, as the group has a large number of existing clients and that are ideally positioned to be introduced to this subsidiary's compelling service offering.
Although the Head Office is based in London and many of the clients are based in the City & Canary Wharf, this is a role that can be office or home based.

Who we're looking for
Applications are invited from proven sales professionals with the credibility and gravitas to sell a range of services to a huge variety of clients, from C-level executives, through to Treasurers, Finance Directors, IT Managers and Accounts Payable Managers.
This is a true new business role, so will suit a 'hunter' rather than a 'farmer'. In return,on offer is an uncapped and generous commission scheme, with no initial threshold to reach before you start to see a return on your sales success.
Whether working from the office or from home, you will need to be pro-active, commercial, extremely corporate (equipped to sell to Blue Chips, large corporates and financial services companies) and confident.
Along with a proven track record of success in new business sales, experience of any of the following sectors/markets will be relevant; SAAS, Financial Services, Online Payments, Cloud-based IT Services,Systems Integrators and/or Treasury/Cash Management Services.
Above all else, however, our client is seeking talent, personality, drive and credibility.

Historically, most of the success has been with financial services organisations however there is an ever-increasing appetite for these services within the corporate market and this serves only to enhance the opportunity for the successful candidate.

What's on offer
c£55,000 with uncapped OTE (c£120,000)
