My client, Silverpop has enjoyed phenomenal growth across all market sectors and now dominates numerous business sectors. As a result they are recruiting aggressively across a number of areas of their business with a particular focus on sales. They are looking to recruit a Business Development Manager to help grow market share and take the monopoly on the Financial Services and Insurance space. This role will see you become a market specialist across all areas of the Financial Service and Insurance industry as well as taking client ownership for other smaller vertical markets. This is a new business focused role that will see you build and grow client relationships across your vertical market and use testimonials and proven product success to open new doors. Your time will be split between being in the office talking to new clients, delivering demonstrations online and writing proposals and out of the office seeing new clients and selling face to face. The key responsibilities for this role include the following:
• Growing new relationships with decision makes in key clients across your space. • Proactively calling and meeting clients to generate new business partnerships and growing the Silverpop brand within the FS and Insurance market place. • Working against monthly and quarterly revenue targets. • Following up successful phone calls with live demonstrations and written proposals. • Managing your own diary and time to ensure delivery against your targets and your clients' expectations.
Who we're looking for
Silverpopis an on demand software as a service email marketing company who deliver software solutions exclusively designed to run intelligent and strategic marketing campaigns. Your target decision maker across any of your clients will be Marketing Managers and Heads of Marketing.It is essential that you have the sales experience needed to successfully sell at this level. Given this is quite a competitive industry; you will need to use your excellent interpersonal skills to make an immediate impact with clients to allow you to deliver all the USP's of the product. You will need to be an independent self starter who is comfortable working autonomously with high aspirations to do well and make money. The opportunity to earn in this role is phenomenal and has been backed up by the proven success of the existing sales team, examples of which can be discussed at interview. You will need to have come from a technology sales background and ideally have sold software of a similar nature in the past. To be able to apply for this role you must be able to demonstrate evidence of the following:
• Proven and successful track record in developing and closing new business deals from scratch • Previous experience selling software or software as a service • Experience of selling email marketing software to marketers is advantageous • The ability to work autonomously and independently while managing your own time effectively
