Solvency II Actuary

CIGNA International is looking to recruit a Solvency II Actuary to be based in Glasgow. The role will directly report into the European Actuarial Manager with a dotted line to the Chief Risk Officer (CRO) of CIGNA Europe. It will also support the Actuarial Manager and CRO with Solvency II implementation and ongoing reporting. The role will involve the following:

Solvency II Development and Reporting

• Develop, improve and maintain centralised models for production of Solvency II Balance Sheet plus Risk Modules
• Develop, improve and maintain centralised Actuarial Data Warehouse for Solvency II Reporting
• Develop and maintain reconciliation models of data plus reserving from different sources such as Belgium GAAP reporting versus Solvency II Reporting
• Document all Solvency II reporting data and modules to satisfy needs of external Audit plus independent review
• Support development and implementation of Partial Internal Model in particular through data support

Asset and Liability Matching

• Develop, improve and maintain currency matching analysis at business unit and branch level
• Develop, improve and maintain durational matching analysis at business unit and branch level
• Document results and make recommendations for ALM strategy

Who we're looking for
• Fully qualified UK actuary or equivalent
• Strong background in risk, data analysis, modelling and financial reporting to assist with the design and implementation of Solvency II
• Ability to work in a matrix structured and multicultural organisation
• Prophet modelling and development experience desirable
• Strong communication skills

This role will require some travel to CIGNA's offices in Brussels and Madrid.
