Our client is one of the UK's leading full service law firms, with offices in London and the South East.Our client has anew position inthe Thames Valley officewhich is an excellent career opportunity for the right individual.
The Thames Valley based firm acts for a range of clients, from owner-managed businesses to public companies. It has niche expertise in the climate change sector. The team is praised by market sources for being "proactive, 'can-do' and exceptionally responsive.
Your experience will probably have been acquired at a leading national, regional or city firm where you have been involved in good quality general commercial work (including purchase and sale conditions, manufacturing, distribution and agency arrangements) and ideally IP, IT and outsourcing work. If you have had exposure to good quality corporate transactional work this would be an advantage.
The Corporate and Commercial team (part of a much larger team with colleagues in their other South East and London offices) currently comprises three partners and three solicitors. To best serve our clients means recruiting a senior solicitor /associate solicitor who can take the lead in developing the many existing opportunities withintheir client base and then grow a practice by using their own network to generate new instructions. Whilst not a "partner designate role" there is no doubt that the route to partnership is clear and the right person will have total support in gaining promotion to partnership on merit.
You must enjoy practice development and have a successful track record of generating work in your own right. If you already have strong connections in the /Thames Valley business community so much the better.
Who we're looking for
The candidate will have proven working knowledge of all aspects of commercial IP/IT matters and they will have excellent communication and organisation skills. The candidate with be 5-7 years PQE with strong business development skills.
