This role of Audit Manager is a great opportunity to join one of the largest retail banks in the UK and will include:
Deliver or undertake a number of audits in accordance with the agreed plan, and with relative autonomy, harnessing a deep understanding of business priorities, controls and risks to provide reliable independent assurance on the effectiveness of the control framework. Has these accountabilities:
• Manage, develop, coach and motivate colleagues to create a high performing team to deliver business objectives
 Lead and/or undertake a number of audits to provide reliable, independent assurance and agree management actions to enhance the control framework to agreed plan. These will be more complex audits, for example in terms of the subject matter; the size of team; the number of locations or stakeholders or the seniority of the stakeholders.
 Where appropriate provide professional audit/specialist expertise and input into the development of methodology and standards
 Establish and build relationships with senior stakeholders to educate the business in the control framework and influence business processes
 Deliver agreed initiatives to achieve continuous improvement
 Identify and assess potential risks working in line with current regulatory and statutory requirements to minimise impact to the business
 Consistently demonstrates group values

Who we're looking for
You will be a qualified accountant preferably with internal audit experience from a Financial Services institution.
