As Risk & Control Managerin Glasgow the successful candidate willhave responsibility for the adoption, delivery and application of the risk and control framework for Fixed Income and Equity Settlements, which will determine which controls are necessary, the frequency with which the control processes should run as well as the timelines for any remediation of identified issues. The role holder will also apply common standards and introduce performance benchmarks and will report control performance to operations management and provide independent analysis and assessment of the day to day processes and review and sign off significant Change initiatives. The successful candidate will be responsible for setting objectives/ delivering performance reviews and delivering feedback in a structured and clear manner as well as writing performance improvement plans if required.
Who we're looking for
As Risk & Control Manager the successful candidate will possess; • Knowledge of operations risk in Investment Banking • An understanding of the end-to-end product transaction flow and the associated risks and controls. • A proven track record of client-facing and will have the ability and confidence to interact at all levels throughout the organization • Proven track record in 'virtual team' management • Aworking knowledge of accounting principles and knowledge of Intellimatch, Euclid, Creation Online, Swift Alliance, Excel & Word would be an advantage. • A proven track record of running a team within a high pressure environment • Extensive leadership and management skills • The ability to manage and oversee daily workload for team as well as constantly challenge and improve key processes and controls.
