Project Manager -Insurance Industry

Role responsibilities:

• Accountable for the delivery of project / programme with respect to appropriate levels of quality, timeliness and budget
• To ensure that all projects / programmes under management have structured plans, RAID Logs (Risks, Actions, Issues, Dependencies), Governance & Steering Committees in place.
• Be the control point for tracking, monitoring and actively managing issues, mitigating risks and making the project / programme successful against an agreed, base-lined remit & project charter.
• To ensure the robustness and quality of all planning and estimation processes that are undertaken
• Ensure all expenditure commitments and payments are authorised, controlled and tracked in accordance with agreed corporate standards
• Successfully manage the relationship between the project / programme and key business stakeholders, utilising Stakeholder Analysis where appropriate
• Be responsible for ensuring the quality assurance and overall integrity of the project / programme.
• Drive or own dependencies and the interfaces between projects. Ensure these are tracked to plan, mitigated or appropriate escalations raised.
• To identify, interpret and manage the business risk exposure associated with / generated by the change / transformation
• To drive project and programme delivery to ensure that benefits management is owned by the sponsor and impacted business area from initiation through to benefit realisation
• Maintain compliance with key regulatory and risk management procedures, and regulatory bodies whilst ensuring that performance objectives are set and assessed against the relevant regulatory / corporate requirements.
• Perform business process analysis and conduct as-is reviews and gap analysis in order to identify opportunities and solutions
• To undertake regular work stream / project / programme meetings, ensuring these are documented and that any resulting actions are actively followed up

Who we're looking for
Experience Required:

• From junior to extensive experience in end-to-end Project / Programme Management using leading methodologies and processes.
• Proven track record in delivering change in a strongly business focussed project / programme within a large corporate environment
• From initial to proven successful experience of managing multiple parties and business stakeholders.
• A proven track record in delivering change and transformation projects and their associated benefits to an agreed timeline, budget and quality
• Capable of building strong, meaningful relationships with internal and external parties alike, with demonstrable influencing skills at all levels
• Project resource management skills associated with those required in delivering change within a large corporate environment
• Experience of translating ambiguous project goals / objectives into the presentation of clear deliverables to the business and stakeholders
• Strong, demonstrable workshop facilitation skills
• Experience of business analysis, process analysis and gap analysis
• Strong customer focus and cultural awareness to operate in a complex, multi-country environment.
• Prince 2 level training or equivalent. Certified at APM level or equivalent.
