To be responsible for designing/ building/ testing and implementing accounting control for systems functionality and/ or enhancements of a particular operational areas.
Responsible for a particular application (new or existing) from an accounting control perspective for any enhancement as part of the project scope, specific application to be defined
Analyse requirement documents produced by the business for new application and enhancements, assess impact on accounting Control Model and define necessary control requirements to be included
For new/ modified automated accounting entries, understanding the functionality & new positions, and liaise with Finance to configure accounting matrix per their statutory, regulatory and MI requirements
Document end to end flow for new or modified processes, mapped to automated accounting entries
In liaison with Operations & Integration design & build an accounting Control Model for the co-existence period to ensure 100% processing, within SLA, between platforms and continuous reconciliation & settlement
Define unique matching key & build reconciliations for all new ledger accounts
Analyse and Control new Inter Application/ Inter Platform/ Inter Centre Accounts, Contract & Auxiliary balance sheet positions, & Internal accounts
