My client's UK Financial Services Tax practice provides tax compliance, advisory and transaction services to a variety of clients in the Financial Services sector, including some of the world's largest multinational institutions, corporations and funds.
The dedicated tax compliance team is responsible for the delivery of corporation tax provisions, computations and returns for a large number of our FSO tax clients. The work is varied and constantly challenging.
Within the team, staff are broadly split between industry sectors [Asset Management, Banking & Capital Markets and Insurance]; the sector that provides us with the greatest volume of compliance work is asset management and as such we undertake both company and partnership tax computation preparation.
We are looking for a Tax Manager who is keen to progress. Previous compliance experience within practice is a must, and preferably from one of the Big 4 firms. At manager level there is no element of computation preparation within the role; all work will have been prepared by our offshore team in Bangalore and the majority will have had first level review carried out by a UK based tax advisor.
We expect our managers to be market and client focused; although the foundation of the job is within compliance there is little difference between this role and one in a tax advisory team. Our managers are the main point of contact for their portfolio of clients and they will be expected to pick up small, ad hoc advisory questions as well as the core compliance work.

See above - my client is looking for a qualified (ACA, CTA)Tax Manager with previous FS experience. Exceptional candidates without FS experience but are currently working in another Big 4 firm or larger firm will still be considered.
