Product Development Manager

Position Summary:
As the Product Development Manager you will:
• Work with the Product Development Director on coordinating and implementing the overall strategic plan for new product development
• Be responsible for liaising with the global sales and product teams to investigate any gaps within the current product offerings.
• Monitor market trends and competitor activity both through interaction with the sales teams and also through industry networking to build a sustainable product development schedule.
• Work with the Product Development Director to implement long term commercial strategies for their products and ensure that the company remains aggressive in its growth strategy and at the forefront of the industry.
• Manage work flow of new product launches with the editorial, design and technology teams to ensure high quality, budget and schedule adherence.
• Be required to undergo International and UK travel.

Who we're looking for
Skills/Experience:
Essential:

• Experience in a Pharma Marketing agency
• An excellent understanding of the pharmaceutical industry and the drug development process
• Knowledge of the publishing industry
• Adaptable and willing to take on new and different responsibilities as they arise
• Ability to work independently and also in a team environment
• Ability to manage multiple projects at one time
• Excellent negotiation skills and commercial flair
• Excellent spoken and written communication skills
• Ability to work to deadlines and within budget
• Ability to present clearly and confidently to the highest level of customer
• Proficiency with Word, PowerPoint and other Microsoft packages

Desirable
• Experience in at a STM publisher
