Head of European Legal Affairs

As Associate General Counsel you will be expected to deal with a range of legal issues and matters, including:
• product sales and distribution;
• supporting European aspects of the business;
• mergers and acquisitions;
• overseeing and managing high level contract reviews and licensing;
• developing and leading a cohesive European legal team to include a Vienna based Legal Counsel for lottery systems and a London based Legal Manager;
•overseeing all regulatory affairs and required legal filings for the businesses, including intellectual property rights; and
•working with Human Resources to provide legal guidance and review with employment contracts and in employment law matters.

Who we're looking for
Our client is looking for an accomplished lawyer with a proven track record. The successful candidate will have circa 8-10 years pqe (all applications will be considered)in the following areas:
• contract law
• corporate law (M&As)
• regulatory law;
• intellectual property rights law;and
• employment law.
Experience in Gambling law would be an advantage.
You will also be able to demonstrated leadership in challenging negotiations, an ability to communicate complicated legal issues to non-legal experts in a concise way, work experience in a large international business and German language skills would be an advantage, although not essential.
