The Product Engineers will join the existing engineering department, reporting to theEngineering Manager. The role will primarily be to support existing products with some involvement in new product development. You will be responsible for the development and maintenance of the following product ranges - • Bailey Birkett • AMAL • Marvac The main responsibilities of the Product Engineer will be to generate continuous improvement and cost reduction of assigned product lines in accordance with industry standards and individual customer requirements. You will consult and coordinate with internal and external customers including Marketing, Manufacturing and Quality Assurance/Control, to develop engineering specifications, oversee the design and drafting and ensure layouts, drawings and documentation are prepared in line with requirements.(Some international travel may be required). You will also be involved in project work as requested by the Product Engineering Manager, such as SAP implementation.
Who we're looking for
The successful candidates will ideally be educated to degree level or equivalent in Mechanical Engineering. You will currently be employed in a fabrication or pressure vessel environment and have a hands on knowledge of Autodesk Inventor or equivalent CAD package. You will have a working knowledge of mechanical engineering practices, preferably in mechanical design of pumps, valves and actuators, and a demonstratable strengths in fluid dynamics and fluid flow. You will previously have been employed to work in a safety critical environment. For the AMAL Position - experience of piping codes, fabrication/welding and ASME VIII / PD5500 is required.
