St John Ambulance is undertaking a major transformation programme aimed at delivering measurable improvements in its impact and cost effectiveness. Due to this programme, the charity is seeking a Regional Director for the South West of England region (Gloucestershire, Avon, Somerset, Wiltshire, Dorset, Devon and Cornwall). This is a high profile role and the role holder will play a vital part in helping the charity achieve its strategic aims of increasing charitable output, improving quality and achieving sustainable finances. Regional Directors across the UK provide leadership, management and entrepreneurial skills to help deliver a step change in performance.

The main duties and responsibilities include:
• Building an effective integrated regional organisation and being accountable for the delivery of the transformation project plan and associated targets
• Leading a diverse range of commercial and charitable operations
• Driving the cost effective delivery of services, ensuring customer satisfaction and standards are maintained
• Managing and motivating a highly committed team of employees and volunteers
• Ensuring that all new sources of existing and potential incomes are fully evaluated

Who we're looking for
This is a challenging senior management position, for which potential applicants will need to have a proactive and flexible approach. You will have enjoyed a successful career to date in senior management positions across either the public, private or not for profit sectors and be experienced in driving large scale change programmes. You will also be an individual who has a focus on improving business and financial performance with the ability to build and lead highly focussed teams of volunteers and employees.

About our client
St John Ambulance's (SJA's) vision is that everyone who needs it should receive first aid from those around them. No one should suffer for the lack of trained first aiders'. The charity operates through 40,000 volunteers and 3,000 employees.
