Reporting into the Group's Managing Director you will have overall responsibility for the financial control of the organisation. Additionally, as a member of the senior management team, you will be expected to play a key role in developing and implementing the Group's strategy to ensure the sustained, profitable growth of the organisation. Duties will include, but not be limited to, the following:
• Ensuring that the Board gets financial information that is an accurate and effective record of the Group's performance
• Challenging budgets and forecasts to ensure they are robust
• Working closely with subsidiary companies' Heads of Finance
• Managing cash and the Group's banking relationships
• Supporting the Group's businesses on commercial and operational matters
• Investigating opportunities for investment and acquisitions
• Working with the Group MD to improve efficiencies and reduce costs
• Managing special projects
This is a senior role leadership role that will give the successful candidate the opportunity to influence the continued success of Carter Thermal Industries.
Who we're looking for
You will probably be a qualified accountant (ACA,ACCA, CIMA) with a track record of providing successful financial stewardship. Due to the structure of the Group you will need to demonstrate the ability to work within complex environments and influence people at all levels. The role demands an individual with a completer/finisher personality type and a track record of leading and implementing change.
You will be a talented business leader with a background in engineering, manufacturing, contracting or service and maintenance. Prior exposure to overseasoperations would be a big plus. It is important that you have the desire to make a real difference and contribute to the development of the organisation.
