Due to the continued expansion of the business and demands in the Product Management arena, there is a requirement to strengthen and add to the existing group. Product Marketing is critical to the current and continued success of the business by generating suitable material which drives both our opportunity generation and supports our sales channels in effectively pushing our solutions in the market. There is an immediate requirement for a Product Marketing Manager within the Product Management team that would support this important function and details of the role can be found below.
Reporting to the Product Group Manager within a particular product group, the Product Marketing Manager is responsible for increasing revenue and contribution to the product group by improving internal and external marketing within their product group, this would include; websites, social media, brochures, PR and sales support material. The role holder will also be responsible for generating an annual communication plan for their respective product group which highlights the top level objectives to be achieved.
- To develop, and maintain a global product communication plan which highlights the key objectives to be achieved within their product group on an annual basis. To work with key individuals in the market to develop white papers that enhance the technical credentials of the company within their product group
- To work with Market Segment Managers to develop and implement plans for customer retention and acquisition
- Assist with devising, implementing and monitoring the communication programme within their respective product group for existing products, including PR, website and SEO activity
- To develop and disseminate the marketing support material for existing products and any new product introduction including;
- Generation and maintenance of sales training material
- Generation and maintenance of external market communication material, e.g. brochures, web site /social media content, technical papers etc
Who we're looking for
Graduate or Higher degree in a physical science (or equivalent) or relevant working experience in this specialist field.
Selling or marketing high technology capital instrumentation to the research side of the Pharmaceutical, Chemical or Biotechnology industry sectors
Skills gained in either a technical sales or marketing role
Excellent spoken and written English
Proven problem solver
Excellent communication skills coupled with the ability to instil confidence in the receiver
Good listening skills and the ability to translate what the customer says into what they need
Desirable
A second major European or Asian language would be advantageous
An additional marketing qualification
