To increase revenue and contribution for a designated product group by developing the strategy which incorporates defining the marketing mix (products, pricing, promotion and distribution) along with completing effective product life cycle management of the range. Also to ensure that performance, quality and margins are maintained on the product group in line with changing market requirements.
To lead the Product Management team within the product group, this would include the guidance and direction of individuals in this area in line with defined objectives. The gathering and collating of suitable market intelligence that supports business decisions Input into developing a suitable support structure incorporating both internal and external (segments, competitors) data sets and supports product group decisions. The monitoring of product performance and providing the direction and implementation of plans that ensure the product group achieves business growth targets. The generation of detailed business cases which justify either new project development and/or the acquisition of technologies / companies that can expand the product group offering.
Who we're looking for
It essential you have experience in marketing or technical sales gained in either Pharmaceutical, Chemical or Biotechnology industry sectors. A proven ability at problem solving. Excellent communication skills, coupled with an ability to instil confidence in the receiver. Good listening skills and the ability to translate what a customer says into what they need. A graduate or higher degree in a science is preferred but a person with relevant and demonstrable experience or training is acceptable. An additional marketing qualification would be advantageous.
