Reporting to the Operations Director and as part of the senior management team, the Engineering Manager is a key leadership role responsible for the proactive development and delivery of all site engineering functions at a large scale plant with upper tier COMAH status. Providing assurance of compliance and ongoing plant performance improvement, the role will be responsible for setting up and maintaining high standards of safety, statutory compliance, condition monitoring, continuous improvement and people development to enable maximum plant availability from the engineering equipment.
Key areas of accountability will include: • Ownership of the maintenance strategy • Development of engineering practices • Implementation of standards for maintenance of the plant. • Statutory maintenance and testing requirements • Management of contractors • Training of the Engineering team • Budget Development for the Engineering function
Who we're looking for
We are looking for an senior engineer with history of working in a similar management position on a large scale industrial site, with a proven track record of improving performance.
The Engineering Manager will have: • Proven people management skills with the ability to lead and inspire others to excel. • Excellent communication skills with good interpersonal and leadership skills. • An ability to provide functional leadership balanced with operating as a team member. • A Chartered Engineer with a Degree in a relevant engineering discipline • Member of an Engineering Institution (e.g. MIMechE or MIET) • NEBOSH Certificate in Occupational Health and Safety • Flexibility to relocate to the East Yorkshire region
