London Midland are introducing a new engineering management system and require a Process Improvement Manager to analyse, develop and implement improvement proposals to support change throughout the fleet activity so that costs, productivity and outputs are optimised.
• Utilising recognised improvement techniques critically review existing processes, identify opportunities for improvement and implement change whilst engaging with all colleagues.
• Implementing the principles of EFQM promote a culture of continuous improvement to deliver increased productivity and cost reduction
• Create by review a portfolio of standard times for all tasks to allow actual time to be compared with an acceptable norm.
• Generate management reports that compare outputs to agreed key performance indicators to challenge improvement where necessary.
Who we're looking for
• You will be a change agent with great influencing skills, experienced in delivering productivity and efficiency in an engineering or production environment.
• Experience of an integrated maintenance management system.
• Proficiency in Lean tools including Six Sigma.
• Ability to communicate effectively and influence key stakeholders.
• Educated to a degree standard.
• Logical thinker, analytically skilled.
• The ideal candidate will have experience in the rail industry however given the current demand in the sector, candidates with experience in any industrial manufacturing environment will be actively considered, including aerospace, automotive or general manufacturing.
