Leading one of five plant continuous shift teams, the Production Shift Manager is responsible for the safe operation of the process plant ensuring shift activities are planned and that all team members recognise the importance of their own contribution to the team's delivery of their objectives. The role is responsible for maintaining high standards of safety, environmental care, waste control, operational competence and behaviour within their shift team. Operating all unit operations of the process plant, the role ensures that all systems are operated safely, efficiently and with maximum availability, and that emergency systems are maintained in a state of readiness and availability. Additional responsibility includes supervising the preparation and isolation of plant and equipment for maintenance and re-instatement on work completion, including pressure & leak and cleanliness testing. Responsible for operating and sustaining the business Control of Work standards and procedures.

Additionally the role requires: •A proven track record leading a team within a Process environment, ideally COMAH regulated • Ideally degree qualified in Engineering or Science based qualification together with supplementary relevant qualifications. NEBOSH Certificate is preferred. • Strong people management skills and the ability to work autonomously. • A team player able to work cross-functionally • A full understanding of modern manufacturing concepts and a genuine desire to pursue continuous improvement
