As a Retail Performance Analyst, your responsibilities will include:
• Analysing of company sales performance vs... business plan across a wide range of metrics e.g. trading area, geographical area, customer demographics, weather impacts. • Analysis of company performance vs... key competitors. Providing clarity on the implications of current performance on market share targets, highlighting key underperforming trading areas in the context of the wider market share. • Supporting the trading planning process, including financial and economic modelling of sales and profit scenarios, production and modification of planning analysis tools. • Central role in defining the business plan shape by trading area in accordance with realistic market trends and internal performance. • Periodic financial evaluation of all key retail events periods (e.g. Easter, Christmas.) • Articulation of trading performance on a daily, weekly and monthly basis. • Management reporting that provides a detailed understanding of the financial dynamics of the business and ensures key risks and opportunities are identified, understood and appropriately connected within the business. • Adhoc analysis that drives and supports improvements in company profitability through review of strategic and commercial opportunities.
Who we're looking for
A commercially focused accountant with the following credentials: • University degree (min 2.1.) • ACA, CIMA or ACCA qualified. • Background within a Commercial Finance role or Transactional Services/Corporate Finance. • Outstanding, demonstrable, financial modelling skills. • Strong communication skills (oral, written and presentational) at all levels with strong management skills. • Proven record of achievement within a results driven environment.
