• Reporting to the MD in this newly created Sales & Marketing Director role you will assume complete responsibility for the UK sales and margin, expected t/o £45m.
• You will be required to devise and implement a suitable sales strategy. You will ensure targets are met and exceeded by creating a sales culture and driving the performance of your sales and marketing team using short and medium term objectives. Where necessary holding your team to account to ensure this is the case.
• Your existing team will consist of 2 National Sales Managers, 12 Area Sales Managers, a proactive Telesales team, a team of Sales / Merchandising Representatives and a Marketing function.
• If you're looking for a role to work for a market leader but also striving to build a new business in order to challenge a market leader, then look no further. In this unique role you will be required to do both as you will be taking two different product ranges to market and your primary focus is to grow market share and margin.
• Both ranges are sold through national merchants, large independents, specialist retail and also require your team to influence engineers / architects to specify. Whilst one range holds a 55% market share, the newer product range holds a 10% market share of a £100m sector within building products.
Who we're looking for
• My client requires a charismatic, sales biased director who balances strong strategic leadership with a passion for leading from the front and by example.
•You will be an excellent communicator and a strong negotiator who thrives on strengthening senior client relationships both personally and through coaching / developing your team.
• It is also crucial that you demonstrate a successful track record in managing, supporting, coaching and holding your team to account in order to exceed sales targets.
• You will ideally be working for a manufacturer of a building product and be able to demonstrate evidence of a successful track record of growing market share throughout merchants, DIY and specification within the building & construction sector.
