Our client is looking for an experienced post qualified accountant/consultant, with extensive insurance sector experience to work in a team that focuses on delivering Commercial Due Diligence and Strategy Projects to the Worlds leading insurance firms. It is likely that the successful applicant will have had 'Big 4' / mid tier accounting firm corporate finance experience in the insurance sector; similar 'in-house' experience with a large insurance sector firm; or from a leading Strategy Consulting house. Preference will be given to candidates with a strong insurance portfolio. The successful candidate will demonstrate the necessary drive to be successful in a corporate finance environment .
Background to the team:
The team focuses on the following areas:
♦ Mergers & Acquisitions Activity, including Commercial and Financial Due Diligence and Private Equity support
♦ Strategy assignments for insurance and reinsurance organisations including those operating in the Lloyd's and London markets as well as overseas
♦ Advising lenders to distressed insurance firms
♦ Insolvency appointments relating to Insurance institutions
♦ Legal structure and operational reorganisation of international insurance companies
Job Role
The successful candidate will include opportunity to lead a wide range of engagements and will:
♦ Take responsibility for undertaking detailed financial and commercial analysis of insurance businesses reporting directly either to a Director or Partner
♦ Assist in identifying the issues facing insurance businesses and work as part of a team and with stakeholders to assess company performance and prospects
♦ Assist in analysing market issues and evaluating the risks and opportunities for individual insurance businesses

♦ Strong team management skills
♦ Ability to undertake detailed financial/commercial analysis to identify key business issues and assist in developing innovative solutions
♦ Client focussed individual with ability to quickly establish effective working relationships
♦ Excellent oral and written communication skills and the ability to write clear and concise reports
♦ Effective time manager able to work under pressure and to tight deadlines
♦ Strong team player who recognises the needs of individual team members and pro-actively assigns responsibilities and tasks to enhance their development.
Qualifications and experience<BR>
♦Insurance accounting and corporate finance/due diligence experience from a major accounting firm
♦ Desire to work in a leading corporate finance team and undertake strategic project work
♦ ACA, ACCA,CIMA, MBA, CFA qualified
♦ Report writing
♦ Financial modelling
In addition to strong academic qualifications, particular emphasis will be placed on candidate's insurance experience and their ability to display strong commercial awareness and experience.
