As a forensic accountant, you will be required to work closely with, and support senior members within the team. You will help produce expert reports and demonstrate the willingness and ability to manage clients. You will gain understanding and experience in forensic accounting work.
• Analyse complex legal documents and large volumes of documents requiring the ability to review and identify key issues and offer robust opinions in respect of those issues. • Re-construct incomplete accounts and records - interpret the results and present those findings internally and externally, where appropriate. • Re-construct accounts and records depending on a range of factors. • Prepare calculations for inclusion in expert witness reports. • Prepare written reports on work performed for managers (for internal use) and clients (for external use) and present information to managers and clients in a comprehensive format. • Verify any analysis and prepare files to ensure that work is fully supported before submission to court, where appropriate. • Attend and take notes of meetings as required. • Start assuming responsibility for excellent client service on assignments and at stream level. • Liaise with solicitors and barristers as a normal part of a litigation support case. • Assist in projects by utilising i2 products such as Analyst Notebook, ibase and i2 TextChart. • Supervise, coach and develop more junior members of staff. • Participate in sales, marketing and networking activities and campaigns and assist in the organisation and smooth running of these events. • Start to develop a network of professional and business contacts. • Support and assist managers, directors and partners on ad hoc projects and department administration.
Who we're looking for
• ACA or ACCA qualified or equivalent (suitable for newly ACA qualified accountants) • Audit experience and preferable some experience working as a Forensic Accountant. • Good knowledge of MS Office, in particular Word and Excel
