This growing manufacturing business are looking for a UK Reporting Accountant to join their team and be responsible for the efficient and effective running of the UK finance reporting function. This includes all aspects of reporting the the US parent company as well as management and statutory reporting for UK entities. Responsibilities will involve:
• Responsible for keeping financial records of area of responsibility in accordance with U.S. and UK GAAP, tax, legal, andbusiness requirements • Applies broad knowledge of accounting / finance practices and procedures to learning and understanding business policies and procedures • Responsible for the overview and preparation of the UK businesses monthly financial reporting close • Managing the annual year end external audit to include production of statutory accounts and information for tax computations • Responsible for Statutory Returns including VAT and government statistical returns • Documenting procedures for specific responsibilities, creating checklists where necessary. Documenting processes to enable understanding and improvement of those processes • Seek to constantly improve the function; design and implement best practice within the department • Manage a team of three reporting analysts/accountants, providing training, workload management, support and performance management. • Provides clear objectives, setting appropriate standards for excellence, tracking performance and providing appropriate feedback
Who we're looking for
• Qualified accountant • Detailed knowledge ofSAP and UK/US GAAP •Strong service ethic and act as an accounting and financial accounting advisor to UK businesses.
