Audit / Accounts Assistant Manager or Manager.

Chartered Accountants, National Firm

Kingston area, Surrey.

Permanent ⁄ £40000 - £45000

Role is a mix of audit & accounts preparation, (c 30% audit). Managing a mixed portfolio of clients.
- Line management of Audit Team
- Carry out all staff appraisals and deal effectively with all staff issues (with support of HR Manager)
- Allocation of all workflows within the Team
- Review of all Audit Files
- Attendance at all Production Meetings
- Act as first port of call to the partners
- Work with the current 3 assistant managers and in developing them and finding successor
- Experience of CaseWare software is a plus
- Ability to spot when something is going to go wrong
- Prioritising different workloads and those of others
- Experience in transition to paperless audit would be helpful
- Weekly review of team time sheets to ensure that chargeability is being met and address the issue where it is not.
- Working very closely with the MP to ensure that their portfolios are resourced and that workflows are running smoothly
- Producing monthly and 2-weekly output reports to include:
o Chargeability reports
o WIP & Forecasting

Who we're looking for
Candidates must be ACA, ACCA or ICAS.
The successful candidate can be a Senior / Supervisor looking for a more progressive opportunity or an established Manager seeking a firm with more scope for progression.
